This generation of Doosan DX55-9C excavator no longer uses Isu2u engine, but adopts Yanmar 4TNV94 mechanical diesel engine, which can reach the maximum power of 36.2kW at 2100rpm. According to customers, this direct-injection engine is more adaptable to China's poor quality fuels and has a good performance in terms of fuel consumption and reliability. The Yanmar 4TNV94 engine adopts a new type of combustion chamber, which makes the air and fuel mix more evenly, and the exhaust emission is cleaner and can reach the National III emission standard.
In terms of fuel saving, the DX55-9C has added an idling function and a pressure switch in the signal oil circuit of its control valve. When the pressure in the pilot oil circuit decreases to a certain level, the pressure switch will automatically sense that the equipment is not in action, and when the work stops for more than 4 seconds, the pressure switch will be automatically disconnected, and the engine speed will be automatically lowered from the working speed to idle. When the operator operates the unit again, the engine speed returns to its original speed, thus reducing fuel consumption and noise levels.
The Doosan DX55-9C is a new product based on the Doosan DH55 GOLD, with the most improved engine, main control valve, and front work trim, and better fuel consumption, efficiency, and performance than its predecessor. Comprehensively speaking, Doosan DX55-9C has strong competitiveness in the excavator products under 6 tonnes.
