It is mainly applicable to ships, ports, routes, roads and multimodal logistics transportation systems. According to the different design structures, container transport semi-trailers can be divided into two types: flatbed type and skeleton type; and according to the difference in appearance, they can be classified into two types: straight frame type and gooseneck type. Skeleton container transport semi-trailer, commonly known as "skeleton vehicle", refers to the vehicle loading part as a chassis frame without a cargo platform.
The container is hoisted to the vehicle body and fixed by a twist lock device, and also becomes part of the skeleton vehicle. Skeleton vehicles can only be used to transport container cargo, and have the advantages of small dead weight, simple structure and easy maintenance. Skeleton vehicles are mainly composed of traction pins, frames, braking systems, electrical systems, suspension systems, axle assemblies, detachable support devices, side/rear protection devices, tool boxes, fenders, spare tire lifting devices and container fixing lock pins.
